Hi,
Anyone here knows how to make it in CD12 so that when you paste/insert objects, they're inserted in the current pointer positon?
When you're working on big drawing it gets kind of annoying to go all the way up(or down) just to drag the new object.
Help will be truly appreciated ツ
Only object I know of that can have a specific insertion point is text, when pasted into either either artistic or paragraph text.
It sounds like a good thing to log as a feature request, and I agree -- it would be useful to have.
Maybe have control-shift-insert paste the object so that it is centred in the visible part of the image ?
Funny you should bring this up! I suggested something similar in another thread. I think it would be a great feature...or maybe a macro? "Seems" like it could be implemented, it would be something like when we import, you click once on the page to place the object in its original size. Or maybe hold down a modifier key to paste as cursor position.
About the closest thing we have now is to drag the object where you want it and then right-click before releasing the left mouse button...or drag the object with the RIGHT mouse button down and then choose Copy Here.
Hi Patti,
if a macro was written, how would you want it to work? Would you want the top left corner of the image to be placed where the mouse it clicked on the page (as it works when you Import an image from a file)?
Best regards,

Brian,
I didn't realize there was a Paste At Mouse was in wOxxOm 's tool package. :) I am beginning to have so many macros that I don't know what I have! It works great...once you assign a shortcut key (don't ask me how I know -- ha!). Best if it's just one key stroke, so you can keep your hand on the mouse to control the cursor.
However...feel free to play with the idea and add options if you like. I think his is pasting the object at the upper left bounding box handle. If you can get something more like a rubber stamp effect that would be even better, i.e. it pastes where you click. Is that possible??
