Hi, I am a complete novice. I have Corel 12 and have been asked to create a logo for a friend to use by a printer to have put on a banner. I started with shapes and made up the logo and saved it as a CDR file. I sent the file and got word back that the quality of it was not high enough and the file needs to beat least 5mb in size. Is there something I should have been doing that I didn't do please?
File size has nothing to do with it. Are your shapes, in fact, all vector shapes? No images or photoshop work? Rarely do you send the actual cdr file. Export as pdf with fonts converted.
Hi Myron, Many thanks for replying. I have a few png files that I imported into CorelDRAW 12 manipulated the size added text snd saved to a CD-R file. The information I got back was the quality of the file would be greatly impaired when exodndef as the file size was not greater than 5mb. I get where you are coming from about the file size. I don’t understand how the file will be of poor quality it expanded. Have I gone about this wrong by copying in a png file? Thanks.
yes, it's possible that the png quality isn't good. Depending on the complexity of the png you might try to do an autotrace of the png then remove the raster part. Once everything is vectorized then file size means nothing.
