I got a problem in coreldraw x3. i designed a magazine in cdr and its size is 2.57 gb. i was trying to import a image into it and it hanged. so i just gave end process in task manager.
Again, when i open the file is coreldraw only single blank page is opening. i had a backup and copy of the same files. but they also open as the same single blank page. but other coreldraw file can be opened.
Pls friends, if anyone could help me to solve this problems. I would be very very very thankful to them.

You seriously need to breakup your job into smaller files. 2.57 is the CDR size, but that's a compressed file. When uncompressed inside Draw the file is much larger.
Instead Try 5 sections of 500 MB files. (IMO that's still very large...) :-P
but what about my corrupted file, which i could not retreive?? Can't i open that file?

maybe... perhaps reboot system, close all non-needed applications through task manager in order to maximize your RAM, try enditall2 to speed up that process (I would).
Once open, save to new file name so you have a backup.
How is the job laid out?
having exact same issue. when i was trying to split that file corel got hang and crash
any other way i can split without opening a file ?
No, but you can upload the file to free storage service such as wetransfer, hthen we could try to open it
