hi guys..recently started using X7..i am trying to import Ai files but wen i do i cannot use the imported layers...

Are the objects on the layers locked or grouped? Do you have Ghostscript installed?

1. no ghostscript installed 2. they are grouped

Ghostscript will be something you should download and install at some point. CorelDraw will use it if installed.

But for now, select a group and ungroup it. Ctrl+u or use the object menu.
