Last time I used CorelDraw intensively was v6. Now I'm using X3 at work.
I'm stumped: How can I change the units of measure in the Status toolbar? Right now it's reporting lineweight of selected features in points, I want decimal inches. My rulers and transform toolbar, etc all use inches.
I've searched the help docs and here, can find nothing.
Tools, Options, Workspace, Text (dialogue box near the bottom)
Thanks digital for the quick response. I'm not at work so can't check this out. But what I'm looking for is not the text size (I'm fine with points for text). If I have a curve selected, the status toolbox (I'm pretty sure that's the name of it) reports the outline and fill colours and the width of the line. Mine reports that width in points, I want decimal inches.
Ah right... use the Pen outline dialogue box. Select the outline rectangle around your text, double click on the outline colour box in lower right of your screen, set default to inches. You could also go through all the other ones you like from the original Tools, Options, etc. setup dialogue box and change all the ones to inches default where you see they're points.
It can be changed on option....
Solved. The lineweight units reported in the Status Bar are set in the Outline Pen dialog box. First, make sure you have NO curves selected. Open the dialog box, set your units. After that, the Status Bar will report your linewieights in these units.
Now that I've found it, I'm sure that's the way it was in v6
(Thank you HKLee for your very effective graphic, I'll remember that style for the future.)
