I am running Vista and have an i7 chip with 3 gigs of ram and a 1 gig video cars...Games fast (according to my Kids) I try and use crel x3 and it is hitchy and slow to react. I have already tried the patch sugested by corel and it did nothing!
I built this computer because I wanted fast.....I can still think faster than corel reacts!
Help me figure this out and you will be my new hero!
My first question, Victor...............
How many fonts do you have installed?
Thank you for responding...I thought of that!
Whatever came with Corel x3 and a few that I have downloaded for projects I have done....
Whoa!............you installed ALL THE FONTS?
Did you really? No joke?
You can't do that Victor. Your computer will likely come to a screeching halt.
Use Font Navigator, it's a font management utility that comes bundled with Corel's Graphic Suite.
EVERYONE OF MY GRAPHIC BUDDIES TOLD ME NOT TO GO PAST 1000.... SO i DIDN'T
So...Sorry to ask this rookie question...but how do I go about using that feature!
Keep all your fonts (except the Windows fonts) on a separate folder elsewhere other than the default C:\Windows\Font folder.
Have the BFN scan for your fonts (in your font "store"), they will appear in the left panel.
When you need to use certain fonts, drag them from the left panel to the right panel.
After you save and close your document, you may want to unintall the fonts by dragging them back to the left panel.
P/S: I hope I'm doing it correctly :-P
