Surely the Find/Replace Objects dialog boxes don't just restrict itself to searching on the current page... that would be stupid but it seems to be that way. Am I missing something?
Agreed.l Needed for sure.
However, once the search criteria is finalised and the 'find' find all' window pops up, the same window can be used on each page by activating the page. I mean once the object finding task is completed on page 1, the user can go to page 2 to find the objects. The popup window must be active and should not be closed. I know its cumbersome but still useful at this point.

Yes but if I have 296 pages of 4 lines of text on each page this isn't helping. I have done a print merge and need to find text. I have to look through several pages one at a time and find the text. This is just crazy not to be able to search through several pages. This seems so primitive not to be able to do this. But I guess it's not a word processor either. But it's trying.
I agree with Anand. Choose the criteria, click 'replace' in the pop up bar, move the bar away from the page area and 'page down' to the next page, drag the bar onto the next page, click replace and so on till the end of the document.
Awkward, but it works.

If you are just changing text throughout the whole document -- retype "Addam" to "Adam" because of a heavy finger -- you can use the "Find and Replace Text" - "Replace Text" for that. It will find every instance of that misprint and repair it through the whole thing. I use it all the time to update dates on pre-existing templates in my work.

I have noticed the same. It is confusing that if you make a text search, it will go through the whole document, but if you search for a defined type of object (like a font) it only searches the current page it seems. Very confusing and it is also asymmetrical. I think I'll make a demand for this in the wishlist forum.
