When I try to import a MathType 6 object into CorelDraw10, all of the greek characters are replaced by their Roman equivalent.
How do I fix this problem?
I am not a Math Type user but on checking their website it appears that the application has the capability to export to EPS. Perhaps you could then import that file into CorelDraw 10. I have Draw 10 but it is not installed at present but my memory tells me that on importing EPS files you have the option of importing text as text or curves. Curves should work in your case, but you will lose the ability to edit the imported Text.
I've tried this but the quality is poor. Also it is time consuming.
What I cannot understand is that the fonts used by MathType are exactly the same fonts used by Equation Editor 3 so there really should be no problem cutting and pasting.
Are the fonts contained in your OS Fonts list? MathType has a download for it fonts to install in Windows. If you install an application that uses the same fonts afterward it can overwite the MathType fonts with the same name. I do not have nor use MathType. Just offering suggestions.
MathType fonts download
I've installed all for the fonts you suggested but with no luck.
It also seems that Design Science has no idea how to cut and paste MathType objects from Word into CorelDraw (www.dessci.com/en/support/mathtype/workswith/t/coreldraw.htm).
It really is strange since I don't have a similar problem with Microsoft Equation Editor 3, which was also created by Design Science and uses the same fonts as MathType!
I am out of ideas, other than exporting to EPS file types from MathType and importing into CorelDraw as I stated earlier. Now that you have the fonts installed, you may be able to import as text instead of curves however. Maybe someone else will come to the rescue. Best of luck to you.
