Hi,
if I draw a logo should my client pay for the font I used? I mean, will he/her need to purchase the font separately? So far I've used freeware fonts but most of them do not have accent, so here (in Italy) are often useless and sometimes it's hard to find a good type.
Thanks.

Hi.
Maybe you and the customer can discuss it and come to an agreement. The reason being is that if the customer buys the font then they would own the right to use it not you. They could let you use it just that once for their logo.
I think it would be better if you own the font, that way you can use it in as many logos as you want.

John,
just received a super quick answer from Linotype. I was quite sure I could use all the fonts I payed for but, you know, that "quite" could get me in trouble. So this is what Linotype says:
"Only the man who uses the font to design a logo needs a license for the typeface; when you convert the result to paths and give it to your customer, there is no problem, since your customer can not extract any font data from the vectorized graphic file."
This definitely answers my question: yes, when drawing a logo I can freely use all the fonts I payed for.
Thanks,
How do you protect your content or images onilne? Can you please help me here? I also want to know more about copyright issue.
