I would need help with creating the attached shape in coreldraw. I have found this tutorial

and i am guessing this is the right way to do it but i just cant seem to set the base line, the interactive cursor. Could anyone out there give me a hand? I really need this at work and i just cant get it right. I need the purple and green design. Well one of them at least I am guessing one is the mirror image of the other one? Am i wrong?

To get a similar look of the example you posted, try using straight perpendicular lines. The key to get that curve illusion is to make sure the line directions are opposite. Here's an example. The first has the lines at right angles. The second I rotated the top line just a little. Play with the angles to get the look you want.
