I am using an online program called easymapmaker to show markers on a Google Earth map. the program allows you to upload your own jpg gif or ico markers in place of the standard teardrop icons. I tried creating these tiny circles in Coreldraw and saved as png files, which the program allows.
When it plots them on the map, they are circle markers with blurred edges. I need them to be sharp. This is a pro-bono mapping effort I am doing for a retirement community, so it is out of my pocket. The Easymapmaker support simply said " I would recommend buying the small markers you want to use. Search google for something like :small circle images"
I can find free circle jpgs but don't know how to resize them or keep them from having low resolution and blurred edges. Here is the map I created - PDF
Can anyone help?
thank you.
50K is huge. Do you mean 50 pixels?

I think that "50k" is referring to a maximum file size of 50 KB that they will allow to be uploaded for use as a custom marker on the map.
I can draw a simple circular ellipse in CorelDRAW, filled, with no outline, and export it as a transparent PNG at 1000 x 1000 pixels. The file size of that PNG is a bit less than 50 KB.
That's huge 1,000 pixels, 1,000 pixels is about 70% the width of my laptop. There's more to getting this out properly the my rare web building mind can recall. I have to revisit my pixel world flow procedures. I work in pixels all the time but usually in the 6,000 + range.
I have to help my son in the morning this will keep me off the streets in the afternoon.

I am aware that 1000 pixels is huge, and I didn't state that anyone would want to render the markers on a map at 1000 x 1000 pixels.
My point was that it's not difficult to create a PNG file smaller than 50 KB that has FAR higher resolution than should be needed for this job.
Exactly what EasyMapMaker DOES with the custom markers that a user can upload, well, I could only guess. I've never used it.
Pixel work flow is possible in Draw but you generally are best to start with a template and think about the stuff that Corel didn't.
Here are a few 60 pixel x 60 pixel circles they should view no larger than about 5/8" on your screen done in JPG JPG with no anti aliasing, SVG and PNG
1 250 x 250 pixel SVG is 4k
