Only until you choose to pay for them, then you can work. :-)
When you say work, I hope you are getting paid. Therefore... support Corel, since the tools cost almost nothing compared to what you can earn by using them.
This is no different than... a mechanic, a gardener, a carpenter, a dentist, a cake decorator, a seamstress - every profession requires tools. They are never free, unless you steal them. When you look in the mirror every morning, you reflect on the kind of person you've been in the past, and who you want to be in the future.

Yes, but you should be able to run it in a virtual XP-Mode. Unfortunately I'm not certain of this in Win 8 but it's probably still an option. I'm currently running a copy of V 9 this way (xp-mode in Win7) and it works pretty well.
Hope it helps

It is simple calculation (profit - expense), and I know that for me these tools are too expensive.
I bought already very expensive tools from Corel, Adobe etc, but Corel, and Adobe, (without Quark) changed sales policy (upgrade) I see today only one solution. Stop for this new tools.

I can see many differences, but English is not my language for long disputes.

We (graphic designers) have a lot of free tools and every days betters - fortunately.
I tested these tools and I can see hope.
