Hello,
Well this is the first time i'm working with DRAWings, im still learning how it works, but one thing i don't seem to understand is how to import files with transparent background. I've tried importing as TIFF, PNG, CMX, but it always have a background wich doesnt help me because when i select Trace - Convert to Outlines it renders the image with the background. I've seen some tutorials on YouTube but none of them explains this. How do i do it?
Thank you in advance for the help.
I'm not sure why you are getting a background on import if the file you are importing does not have one. Though I presume DRAWings and CorelDraw are not exactly the same, perhaps this is the reason.
You might be able to use the "remove background" option when tracing it.
But ... if you can't sort it out any other way, then after tracing, ungroup the trace objects and you will then be able to delete the background object(s).
When i trace it with the background and delete the background objects, it renders the blank spaces into embroidery. Imagine I have an "A", if i delete the little triangle on the A it renders that space and fills it, it doesnt consider it "empty" for some reason.
Thank you.
I think one of the embroidery people here needs to comment on this, because that does not sound like correct behaviour, but must be an answer that they would know about.
I have just joined this forum/user group, but I do have Drawings Pro. When you import something and you use the "background" tool it can be tricky if that color is also in use elsewhere in the image. I normally just take it all into the program, then use the "trim" to get rid of that middle part of the A, for example...If you have not already done so, I would highly recommend watching the ArtisticUSA videos on youtube. Artistic Suite is the same embroidery program we have :-)
