Has anyone experienced a formatting issue with tables in Designer X6 and/or has Corel acknowledged that there may be an issue? The specific issue I have noticed is that you cannot select individual cells and apply color from the palette. This functionality existed in all versions before X6 and the help file says you can do this. However, what happens is that when you select a cell or group of cells and pick a color the entire background of the table takes on the selected color. I have X5 files that use this functionality and a fix would be appreciated.

Assuming that designer and coreldraw work the same way, it seems to me that you can drag a colour from the palette to a cell -- as long as the cell doesn't have any text content. It makes no difference whether or not te cell is selected.
If the cell has text content, you need to delete the text, drag the colour to the cell and then replace the text.
This isn't the way it is intended to work, but it might help you finish the job.

Actually you can do this very easily.
1) Create a table
2) Drag a color into any individual box, done, now.....
3) Put some text in another box
4) This part is tricky, but when you get the hang of it. you'll love it. Grab a color from the swatches, drag it to the box needing the fill, slowly cross the line and you will see it turn into a box with lines only, this is the box outline, now slowly continue and it will be solid. this is the box fill color, slowly continue and outlines will appear again, this is the text outline, slowly continue and it will be a box, this is the text fill.
Hope this helps

I do however need the formatting to be corrected since formatting cells one by one is too tedious for certain technical drawings I maintain. Hopefully, Corel will address this in SP2.
What formatting are you referring to exactly? Colors, Text, selecting multiple cells to edit simultaneously. I'm not sure
I am referring specifically to color formatting of a group of selected table cells (not the color of text in the cells). In versions prior to X6 you could highlight a group of cells and select a color from the palette and those cells would take on that color - it does not work like that in X6 which is a bug in my view. What X6 does is apply the color to the entire background of the table. My work-around is that I keep a copy of X5 on my PC so I can do that specific function - not ideal.
