Hey there,
I'm trying to cut a part of a picture in Photo Paint. This is working so far. But when I try to save only this part of the picture with a transparent background, it always tells me that the object is combined with a background when saving. No matter what Im doing it doesnt work. The background is always white or grey.
I think you are starting with an image that does not have a transparent background. Open image then object/create object from background then you should get your transparency.
I got that far. I can even export it to Corel Draw and there it has the transparent background. But I need it as a png for an other program.
First, check in object manager. You should see your design as an object (with a checkerboard behind it):
The problem is that background layer. If you have a background layer, you must select it, right click on it and delete it:
You will still get a stupid and confusing warning when you try to export to PNG:
Just ignore the message, because there is no longer any background to merge with,
Export to PNG 24 bit with the transparency flag on and you should retain the transparency in the PNG:
