Rhetorical question/statement really...has there every been a version of DRAW that doesn't crash after customizing the workspace? I haven't used one yet. I don't know WHY Corel even made workspace customization an option as it never seem to last very long with doing the old F8 trick. So frustrating.
Oh and as usual, those who never have problems need not reply. We all know what your responses will be.

So., you believe that we lie? Or perhaps, do you believe that the company pay people for say "there's no problem"?
I always customize my workspace, and save with a different name. Also, i export/export as a new workspace. And I never found problems on that. The problem is if you import a workspace from a different version. That's a very bad idea.
Why would it be a very bad idea to import a workspace from a different version. I mean, that is exactly what you’re supposed to do isn’t it? You upgrad your software. You import your previous settings. Some software will ask if you want to do that while it’s installing! I have other software that’s so stable that I don’t even maintain their workspace and settings by backing up, then just copy/pasting it again later. I would not be mad if that caused a crash because it is wrong, but it works and casuses no problem. But here is CorelDraw, with a built in method for keeping the workspace, and you’re saying, it’s a bad idea to actually use it.
Because of changes made from one version to another. Some things are not supported, I create my workspace new for each vcersion
You're never going to find Corel saying, "Well, you can take you chances on trying to import your old workspace, but it'll probably crash. It's up to you, we won't stop you, but don't call us when it crashes". Again, Corel is putting the feature in the program, and people are saying, well, it's a bad idea to use it, while defending Corel.
Of course you won't I have been against most customization for 25 years and I'm an advocate of an administrative lock on workspaces.
If you had your way, many people wouldn't even be able to work in the software. You're not thinking beyond yourself.
No I'm actually thinking of the support IT staff required to support the software. Set a stable customized work space and lock it, everyone uses the same and work stations can be shared. I've seen employees let go because the IT staff got tired of the down time from customization failures.
