can; someone tell me how I can make text arch like this please?
TIA
In CorelDraw > Help > Product Help... search envelope.
Also search YouTube for videos.
I have tried that - and it distorts the text. This applies a symmetrical arch without distorting the letters. If you notice in the picture, the text box is straight across the bottom. I want to know how to do this in a uniform manner.
You will have to try again because that is how its done...arching the text at all is distorting the text...this is very quick with the envelope...had I spent time horizontally kerning it would line up perfectly to your example with one pull of the envelope...
You can also edit the text inside the envelope with your text tool or copy this envelope shape to other text/objects...
I'm gonna add my 2 cents. I delete these nodes first and convert those line segments to straight line instead of curve. Leaving the bottom one as curve though. Then curve the bottom as you like. A good idea to save that style for future reference too.
Another method would be to form a rectangle to that shape then set your envelope to form to that, similar to "fit text to shape"
your 2 cents was worth a million dollars. that's the trick that i needed... deleting the nodes and converting to lines. Thank you so much, Myron
I wish there was a default button to do that because 10 out of 10 times I need to use the envelope tool that exactly what I'm doing.
That's why you need to save it as a preset. Hit the "+" then give it a name of your choice.
Hi missjax1,
I gave it a shot with mesh warp in photopaint X6, EFFFECTS > DISTORT > MESH WARP
