Hello,
I am running Corel Draw 2019 on Windows 10 and have yet come across another mind-numbing issue. I am working in a file just fine, then I perform an action, such as import or transparency, and I get the spinney wheel of death. Go to Task manager and Corel is not responding. Sometimes it will eventually perform the action after an extended period of time (4-5 minuets) or nothing at all. Force quit. Save Auto backup of file when I reopen the program and then every action takes forever, if at all. This is very frustrating. Any insight would be most helpful. Thank you!
Same for me. I bought a new SSD 1T HD because I thought it had been my old drive slowing this program down to a crawl. That didn't work so then thought I might need more ram, had 16 ddr3 and now have 32. Still working slower now that it was if that is even possible.I am running AMD FX 8350 8-core processer , ACPI x64-based PC. I have the AMD Radeon HD 6700 display adapter.
I contacted Corel thru both chat and phone, they tell me they will have a tech contact me thru email. I have got 2 emails one asked me to follow a reinstall which wiped out all my custom tool bars and settings. I couldn't export this for some reason before I did the clean install. The second email dealt with my docker and custom tool bars but offered no help other than asking for a scree shot.
It takes a good minute for 2019 to load, I can't get it to just load a blank page. Help files are not the same as the menu options I have. After loading a new page it takes several seconds to go from one tool to the next. Drawing lags so badly that you have to stop in between stokes. The text tool is the same. Typing any word longer than 5 letters causes it to just blank out and then about a minute later the text will show up. If you have to wait even 5 seconds between every move on a page then something is very wrong.
Moving an object from the docker takes a good minute for the arrow to place it shows up.
Custom tool bars will not stretch across full width of screen. They hug the left side and then the tool bar on the end of the row will have a drop down menu even if it is only one item. The Content Browser will not let me delete file names for content that is no longer there. The Dockers can't be made any smaller only larger.Checking the "don't ask me that again" box never seems to work. I have resorted to installing CorelDraw 5.
So what now? Guess I need to get my money back.
I also have minor issues like that. But not everywhere. When Corel browses through my fonts, no issues at all. NONE whatsoever. Cuts like a knife through melted butter. But simple maneuvers like transparencies, or others mostly in PhotoPAINT. Unexplainable. Super slow when using the 3D bevel tool in PPaint... but when you apply CTRL+R to repeat the maneuver, no lagging. Sometimes, I have to wait almost 15 to 30 seconds for a simple transparency! It worked almost instantly with 2018, on the same computer.I've noticed that this version was definitely NOT READY for the market. The update 1 didn't correct most of my bugs. Many very practical tools were removed making it counter productive.

I'm aware of some of the problems, but I'm curious about this. What practical tools do you miss in 2019?
Spill the beans please tetrodesign what did they leave out? Or make impossible to find?
For me they left out the list option on the dockers, I know I can hold the mouse to see what it is but why do I have to do that?
The Connect Docker always opens to all categories when I start up the program and points to a folder I don't use. It also won't let me delete file names from the folder I am using. It has two file names and I moved them to a different location so they would stop showing up. If I click on those folders it tells me there isn't any content in them. DUH!!!!
The docker window can't be made smaller only larger. It took me forever to find how to change my default text.
I am missing CorelDraw from my Tool>Options list. I was trying to get rid of that welcome screen and just open a new blank document but the directions I saw said to go Tools>Options>CorelDraw>General only I don't have that.
Sorry for the reply late everyone! Here's two I can think of for now. But for me, I use these tools A LOT!PhotoPAINT• The little round diagram I mentionned in another thread somewhere (can't remember). That little round diagram that point the direction of effects such as PLASTIC, 3D BEVEL, DIRECTIONAL BLUR, etc name 'em... (CDRAW and PPAINT)• CutOut Lab: Where are the lateral slider bars when zoomed? Keyboard shorcuts are gone in this tool. Nib size, Undo, etc... The nib size can be used but only by clicking the little up and down arrows. If you enter a number it automatically performs and shuts down the page!!!UPDATE 2 lately has corrected a few glitches. PDF export dialog box has been resolved. Positioning grid in the transformation docker as well. THANKS FOR THAT!!!BUT!!! It has become much more unstable. Incredibly dangerously too... Crashes, right out of the blue, purely random, for no apparent reason! The last time I met such an issue was with CorelDRAW 10 on Windows Millenium!!!----------------------------------------PLEASE, Can anyone try this maneuvre?... It crashes for me... Try this in the SAME ORDER. If you don't, it doesn't crash.Try creating a multi vector object, converted to a bitmap. Then decrease its size. Then try to ADD PERSPECTIVE...BAM! Corel crashes.
Yes crashes every time
