I also observe that this is not working correctly.
I can confirm. Text within the group snaps fine, but other objects dont and the overall group doesn't.
I do recall something similar happening in an earlier version too. Snap has, over the last decade become much less reliable than it used to be.
When selecting several objects in 2019, only the object at the bottom of the stack snaps to guidelines. If the objects are grouped however, it only snaps to the topmost object in the group.Wonder how they managed to create this very peculiar effect? In my opinion, snapping worked almost perfectly in 2018, sad that they had to break it.
I think Corel needs to look at their grouping logic in general. I reported similar problems in Corel Photo-Paint 2018 forum and I confirmed that the problems are still there in 2019 (at least in the last trial version I downloaded). I never received any meaningful response to my concerns in the forum. Corel has some strange behaviour related to the z-order of grouped objects and it seems to be manifesting itself in different functions.

I tested both of these in the 2019 trial and they were still happening. I confirmed that both problems are related to grouping and z-order.
I was hoping there was a fix. I'm experiencing the same problem. And don't get me started on customizing the desktop and having it crash... F8 for the third time...
Corel, please just ADMIT that CorelDraw 2019 (2 updates later) is just NOT a finished release for professional use that should have never been sold.
Let's hope Update 3 proves us all wrong.
I've been battling for almost year and half with X9 - absolutely pathetic! Communicated for hours with online support - no satisfaction. and now I see the X20 is available - at double the normal upgrade rate...First time on 20 years I'm SO disappointed in Corel.
I don't have a problem with the price, that's just an economic reality today. However SO MANY broken features, then STILL DEMANDING this price. Thats corporate suicide.
The custom placement to a page size change in Photo-PAINT is a joke.
