Hi Mr. Corel,
1. I requested Mystic Thumbs to include PhotoPaint CPT thumbnails in their list of thumbnails.
2. I received the following reply:

"Hi Philip
We have looked into CPT before. Unfortunately it is a proprietary format and we were unable to find sufficient information about it to support. If you can hunt down a full format specification then we would consider implementing it.

4. It would end ten years of complaints about the CDGS Shell Extension.

Sorry, but Corel doesn't provide the file format specifications for the CPT format. The Shell Extension are designed to provide exactly that. If there are remaining problems with the shell extension with the latest version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, then please let me know.

Are you serious.
Thumbnails have been a festering problem for some of us for over ten years. I can't even use PP X7.
How could you have missed the endless complaints. Here's a link to a recent thread.

Note that Ariel posted that missing thumbnails have been a problem for some people for a long time.
Note the last post in the thread where the original poster says that Mystic Thumbs finally created CDR thumbnails for him.

Why should the creation of CPT thumbnails by Mystic Coder be any different than the creation of CDR X7 thumbnails by Mystic Coder.
What's the big secret about CPT thumbnails.

Obviously the Shell Extension has not worked for some of us for some versions for over ten years. There have been posts on it for the last ten years. Cures such as "associations", "view thumbnails", "tinkering with the registry", etc. never worked. The only solution in the past ten years has been to revert to an earlier version. I'm back to PP X6.
