Nice effects can be achieved with Random Shapes macro.

I made a combined shape and check the color and rotate options on macro dialog box.
Then I grouped the shapes and applied a transparency in subtract mode, duplicate some more times and apply high value transparency again.

Jesus love that effect, how did you make the combined shape? I can only seem to get circles and squares by using the macro shapes even the triangles don't seem to work.
