Would you be able to let me know the best way to create the heart with the text. When I try it's all badly spaced. Many thanks for your help.

It seems you have used 'Full Justify' text alignment. Actually it is the one that gives better looks to the text fitted in odd shapes. You may try playing around with the Minimum and Maximum spacing that Corel should follow while text is justified.
By default, Corel uses :
Min. Word Spacing - 60%Max Word Spacing - 300%Max. Character Spacing - 200%
