Hi
I would like to be able to hide an object within a layer while I'm testing to see if I like it there or not. However, there doesn't seem to be a "eye" icon to do this for objects - only at the layer level. Is there a way to hide an object "within" a layer?
Thanks.
No, not just by clicking an icon.
If the object is on top of a uniform background I just make a box same color as the background & no outline to cover the object.
If that won't work sometimes I make a layer for temporary storage, drag the object to the temp layer and hide that.
Hope it helps
HI.
If the item is on top of a shape with a uniform fill:
Select the item, hit Shift Pg Down to move it underneath. You can toggle it back into view with Shift Pg Up or move it with a drag in the object manager.

There is not in CorelDRAW but it should be in wishlist for the next version.
Workaround:
Select only the objects you want to see in the preview, click on:
VIEW > SELECT PREVIEW ONLY... (to see in full screen)

The workaround I can suggest is to delete the object and Ctrl + Z if you want it back. Funny workaround but works for me though not always.
