"No Fonts were found, this application may not have been properly installed" problem in CorelDraw 8

I find I must join Sumit Rai Gambhir in this issue and ask why no answers have been forthcoming from Corel.
My situation is this:
Up until yesterday I had a full, working and stable CorelDraw 8 installation on our main production PC. (In fact Corel V8 64bit has been IMO, the most stable release ever since X4).
NOW, cdr will not start up.. it merely shows an error window with the "No Fonts were found, this application may not have been properly installed" message.
I too have 'repaired', then reinstalled CorelDraw Suite 8.1 to no avail.. even after an full uninstall and 'deep clean' of residual files. In addition I have run full disk checks, registry checks, and also checked that font directories are in place. I have even run sfc.exe /scannow to check system file integrity... clean! I can't check Corel's Font Manager because, like corelDraw it also won't start up! Same symptom, same dead end. (same message). What more can I do??
For the record, I have an i5-6600 system with 16gB Ram with Windows 10 Version 1607 OS Build 14393-969
Can someone help please? This is a serious problem and in all my searching, no one has yet come up with an answer.
