I have added guide lines to the page although, the text does not lock ..Thanks in advance

Not sure what you're after here. Guidelines have no bearing on text. Are you wanting to use the guidelines as place holders for keeping the text within?
Just want to use is to line up objects and text..Somehow the Guide lines disappear after placement. After I select the select tool

I would use pragraph Text and set up Tabs into required position/s
