3 months ago asked, I wondered why, and I have found no solution. After working many hours labeling street names on a map all my text appears to have lost dpi. Can anyone help?
You will have to supply a great deal more information about your problem. Case or sample files and screen shots would help.
Text as text or even text converted to curves is vector. It has no DPI, it is resolution independent. I am not sure what you are saying is losing dpi. Is it your monitor? Is something going wrong on export?
Maybe you could check View ( Pixel View vs. Enhanced View)
As David said, text can't lose resolution, unless you convert it to bitmap or export as bitmap (jpg, tif, etc). Even the samallest text will have high resolution always, since it's vector, you can enlarge or reduce without change of quality.
Can you share a file sample?
My guess
Export to PDF, not bitmap.
f bitmap is required, change your resolution to a higher number, i.e. 72 to 300 dpi.
PDFI have been moving from corel draw back and forth to paint. Eventually my text deteriorates. I assume I'm doing something incorrect. Hopefully I can get it back as opposed to starting over
