Hi All,
I produce fairly complex designs for making decals some as large as 3 mb.
I have really noticed an annoying slow down when using X8, especially when loading & closing files.
It also suffers from annoying things like break up of image.
Other peculiar things happen randomly, the 'make corners tool' will suddenly load a random value in one of the corner boxes, This will be present for months and then suddenly disappear.
When using 'eraser' tool, I drag the eraser along a desired course and the image does not delete but brakes up into angular images.
These things are difficult to describe but I hope this will be enough for the experts out there.
Chris
I have a Dell XPS running Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7+3770CPU @ 3.4 Ghz 3.4Ghz, RAM 32.0 Gb, AMD Radeon HD7570, 2TB SSD.
Your slow down is most likely due to the use of the AMD graphics card. I run files into the 1.8 GB range regularly on the 64 bit version on Windows10 Pro with 32 GB of RAM. Also Windows 7 is very old and seems to be experiencing issue that Windows 10 does not.
Many thanks David, Can you recommend a good Graphics card?
I must run with W7 as my Alps printer won't work with anything more up to date.

I use mid-grade NVidia cards with 4 to 8 GB of RAM. High end NVidia cards seem to have their issues also. The high end gaming cards react odd something with CD. For version 2018 Corel issued a fi in an update but IMO we won't see anything for older versions.
