Corel Draw Home and student 2018 stopped working condition #5000-G;bld/cd...

This was brought up three years ago and the fix from then doesn't work now.  Says it has to do with fonts.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. 

I downloaded and installed a trial version of 2019.... guess what?  It works!!!!! 

I'm frustrated that new more expensive software seems to run just fine and I cant' make a program work today that I  used  yesterday.

HELP!!!

    I got this last night from Corel support.  They did an EXCELLENT job of assisting and getting me back up and running.

    Here are the steps to fix the issue

    1. Go to Start
    2. Click Run
    3.Type %appdata% and press Enter
    4. Open the Corel folder > Databases
    5. Right-click the V2.1 and choose Rename to V2.1 to V2.1 OLD
    6. Now Launch Corel Draw and check.

    Ta DA!!!
