Turning black and white isolated image into an etched antique style image

Hi all!

I'm pretty new to this, I was wondering however if there is a facility for turning black and white isolated images into an 'etched' antique style image so to speak, almost as though it has been drawn by hand?

If anyone can help me on this that would be much much appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Ben

  •  "effects" - art strokes -scraperboard?

or simply converting to black and white (1 bit) and using "Cardinality-Distribution" for "Conversion Method" looks real nice...

  • Not really sure if this is what you mean but....

-Trace Bitmap >Clipart (settings both quite high)>ok (or "done")

-Click on traced image>Click on Outline Tool and from flyout Box>Hairline

-Click on traced image>Click "X" on colour pallet bar to remove colour and leave only the outline.

-Convert to Bitmap (300dpi) and >Edit Bitmap>use the paint brush and paint over outline w/black>Combine with Background

-(In the "EFFECTS" dropdown)>Textures>Etching (play with settings to your liking) and again in "EFFECTS>Textures>Plastic (play with settings to achieve the desired amount.

-After that, I went (again) to EFFECTS>Textures>Elephant Skin for a weathered look.
