hi guys, im looking for a tool wich allows me to serialize numbers .. any feedback is very welcomed. Thanks in advance
By Serializing Numbers, do you mean something like a barcode or a sequence of numbers?
Barcode: You can use the Barcode wizard found in the Edit Menu.
For sequential numbering: You can use the Print Merge feature found under the File Menu.
Can you give a brief discription of what you are looking for. I'm kinda unsure of what you are trying to do. And then we can explain some more.
yeah i need sequential numbers for 1000 tickets i need to print, so i have 5 tickets into a page, and i need a sequence for 0000 to 9999. Can u explain me more about Print Merge please.. thanks for your answer

Watch this movie
0000-9999 is 10,000 tickets, we should sort this out for sure. ;-)
Also, is there ticket "stubs" that need same number as ticket? Or each ticket has one number, and that's all?
in any case, a few things to consider.
During design stage you need to decide whether tickets have a bleed or not in the design. If white space is around all edges, then you can use the non-printable area of a press sheet as part of the design.
5 tickets a on a page... seems small. You printing at home, or at print shop? Print shop in North America would print in on 11x17 or 12 x18 press sheet, and get 10 up at least, even more if no stubs.
haha yeah its 1000, not 10k, my bad.. thanks for all the response.
@ Jeff: yeah its 1 number per ticket, and yeah im gonna do it in a print shop.
I have a problem though, well i used Print Merge tool in CD 12, but when i want to see the preview, i just see the tag i used, and not the numbers. What could be the problem here?.
Thanks

You need to perform print merge from the print merge menu.
Then you'll see the real numbers (instead of the field) in the print engine preview.
thanks u very much
one last thing, how can i change the incremental number with the Print Merge of CD12?, if i would like to increase by 10 for example.. thanks
