Bob's answer is the most likely option, remnants of the existing or removed install could cause this. Did you try a full restart before (re)installing as that may allow Windows to delete those remnants (some of them only get properly removed after a restart if they were locked during deinstallation etc.)

You could try using CCleaner to clean the registry for CorelDRAW entries as a last resort in case the issue is with that. But only do this if you are comfortable with this kind of stuff, otherwise you could do more harm than good and mess up your computer.
