Quick switching between wireframe and normal view

Is there a hotkey for this?

  •  I do not think there is a "default" key for it, but you can easily assign one -

Click on the view menu, once open right click and select "Customize" then "View Menu"

then "Add New Command"  look in the drop down box, ( next to the binoculars :) find "View" Find your command (wire, enhanced etc...), select it and open the "Shortcut Keys" ( center top tab )

Move your cursor into the assign box and press whatever key you want to assign, remember to click the assign button next to it when you are done,

Click OK at the bottom and yer done!

    • Thank you!  I will do this, it will undoubtedly make it easier to clean up those tracings

        •   SHIFT+F9 - doesn't do wire frame, only enhanced - normal Smile

          •

Actually, I always thought shift+F9 toggled between the last 2 views selected...........so it would be possible to use that keyboard combo to switch from wireframe to normal.

            Works on my end.Wink

Hmm! interesting... it does enhanced-wireframe here, and I don't remember doing anything in particular to make it work that way. But you can drag a wireframe button from customizations to the standard bar or to the tool bar and all you have to do is click it once and then Shift+F9 will work for you.

              • There is a button you can drag out from Tools/Options/Customization/Commands: type "Toggle View" in the binoculars search. Toggle Views, is what you want. You may also find of interest Sync Views, a free script that displays half of your screen in enhanced, the other half in wireframe. Both windows update to give you he result instantly in the other view. This script is among some very handy ones. Just Google wOxxOm recent files. Take you right to it. He's got .exe's assigned to target installing the script in your GMS folder so it is easy to install the scripts. He even has one which makes choosing and installing buttons a piece of cake.
