transparency

it is possible to give the transparency the way we expected despite of given presets like linear, radial...etc.,

for an instance if the element is a star shape, i want the edges to be subdued or transparenced is it possible as this is a big problem to me. For these types of elements i have to opt corelpaint or photoshop.

kindly help me

with regards

  • There's no direct tool to do that inside CorelDraw. If you only want the edges to be soft, but not necessarily transparent, then you could do a trick with the Blend tool. Create a duplicate of your original shape (let's call A the original and B the dupe). Send B behind A with the Arrange/Order commands. Give B the same fill colour as your background. Then use the Blend tool to blend both objects together and toy around with the number of Blending steps. More steps will give a smoother transition, but it's no use in using a lot if your image will be depicted in a small size.

    • thanks for the support

but i had an idea of taking the 'interactive bitmap pattern transparency' which i could prepare the bitmap of grayscale in photoshop in a desired pattern but i am unable to place the bitmap exactly fit to the original element is there any solution ? it is tiling or tilting or rotating very much irritating but not fitting well.

    • Maybe this macro from Os, will do what you want.
Try it, it works pretty good.

There are more fantastic macros from Os (wOxxOm) and others at MacroMonster.com

      • 1. Apply a Radial Transparency to the star.

        2. Flip the start & end values of the transparency in the Fountain Transparency editor (open the transparency editor by clicking the icon in the top left corner).

        3. Tweek values as needed.
