Is it possible to create an animated gif file in draw x3?
The animation itself is done in Photo-PAINT. But you can use Draw to make components for the animation, like I did here:

Jeff,Thanks for getting back so quickly. So, i create the animation in photo-paint then? Can you layout for me the steps for how to do this in photo paint?
Thanks
Yes, use PP.
Steps.. oh boy, depends on your goal.
big steps:
1. make a movie from your document
2. then insert frames
3. then you have access to other menu items
also open the movie docker.

Jeff,I really appreciate your help with this.
I am trying to create an animated .gif file, where the background stays the same, but various small images within the larger image change; in my case i have various brand icons displayed that i want to change with the animation. I have created the background image, but it is not clear to me how i create the various frames. I have created 3 frames, but if i delete one of the brand icons in the 2nd frame, it is deleted from all the frames. THus, my question is; how do i replace the various small images over the background with different images?
Does this make sense?

Okay this sounds simple enough, but i think that the problem that i am having revolves around the problem i am having differentiating the content in each frame. I have created the first frame, and i go in a add frames. At the bottom of the screen, i see that there are multiple frames, but even though i have added the background image, when i add an additional image to the 2nd frame, it is showing up in all the frames. Every frame looks the same. How do i insert the unique images that i want JUST for each frame, without having the image show up in all the frames. I am using the simple paste command to add the image to the frames. Is this incorrect?
Paste, then combine (merge) it with background for that specific frame. Then it's permanently part of that frame only.
Learn the hotkey.
