CorelDRAW X3 EPS converting bitmaps?

EPS converting bitmaps?

I've never seen this before, but I have artwork which contains an RGB bitmap and when I export it as an EPS the bitmaps are somehow vectorized. How can this be and what else can I do?

No way! A raster image that changes to vector upon exporting as eps. This I gotta see! You sure it's raster to begin with?

It has something to do with the original jpeg. When I export as a new jpeg and import that I can export the file as a proper EPS.

Yeah, check this out. I don't believe it either. The one on the left is an RGB bitmap.

not exactly a good vector but crazy anyway. Look in wireframe view, are those thousands of lines making up the image?
