Canon is using Iris watermarking to take photographer’s copyright protection to the next level.
Geo Tags and Iris watermarking, what next? Maybe a tagging system that indicates that a photo hasn't undergone edits that affect its integrity. That way when you shoot that pic of the aliens landing the CIA will know where to look for you, that you are indeed you and that you really did see it.

It will be a real trick preventing that. Impossible I'd say.
