            Thanks for the compliment.

1.    My point and shoot camera routinely burns out skies.  I always have to import one from my collection of skies.

2.    These barns are right next to the road.  I cloned in the grass from a narrow strip in front of the barns to move them back.

         I’ve had very poor results with the blend modes.  They always change the colors.  Screen washes out the colors.  Multiply makes them too intense.  I do better with the Lab Curves and a few layers.  The only success that I have had with blend (aka merge) modes is by using them on portraits as per the tutorial “The Soft Dior Look ---- “ at http: // retouchpro.com/tutorials/?mshow=show&id=209. 

       If you have the time, could you show us how you would have handled the sky.
