Clone toolbar

I have looked everywhere – except possibly in the right place! – for an explanation of the use of the options in the Clone toolbar.   Shape and Size are self-explanatory, but I could use some advice on the effect of the values set for Hardness, Step, Density, Thickness, Rotation and Opacity as well as the choice of Blend Mode.

    ?? What application are you referring to, Geoff? I see nothing in the
    Property Bar in Photopaint that says "step, density, thickness, etc"

    Are you sure you're not talking about the Brush Settings Docker (which is
    something totally independent of Cloning)?
