What's so great about Ventura?

I've heard a lot of praises for Ventura in the last months. I must admit I have never used it, since I was a PageMaker user who moved to InDesign. Could you people that know Ventura point out for me please the advantages of this programme over InDesign CS2?

  • I'm sure this thread can go on for ages, but for starters, if you're a Windows user Ventura should please you because it has a true Windows interface. It doesn't try to look like a Mac program. It makes extensive use of the right mouse button for easy access to features. It has an excellent Navigator window to help you see all parts of your publication and their external/embedded status, as well as the ability to change that status easily. The Tag Window puts all attribute features at your fingertip. The dialog boxes are complete and contain almost everything you need for a given feature--You don't have to go to multiple menus to do this and that.

I can go on and on and will be happy to do so.
