Dear all Draw users:
I want to do someting like that in Corel Draw, and i want to know if its possible (i understand that Draw don't have by now this kinds of vector effects {maybe in the next update...}, but maybe thare is a trick how to do that).
This was created in Affinity Designer. the Text is "100% Transparent", and its applied to it an "Outher Shadow".
In Draw wen its "100% Transparent", and i aply a "drop Shadow", the backgrownd is gettting Black.
(Maybe its will be some replacement for the Blur effect {what is by now not available in Draw for Vector}, but not for What i want to do)

Thanks.
CorelDraw has no Object Knocks Out Shadow as in AD as far as I know. (Most applications have this on by default, including layout applications.)
But it can be done, it is just a bit more manual. And because it is destructive you should keep a copy of the text off the page so if there are any edits to the text, you can drag a copy back onto the page and edit the text...and then redo the instructions.
Right-click on the Drop Shadow Group in the Object Manager (or press ctrl+k).
Both the text object and the drop shadow will be selected, but do make sure they still are in the Object Manager.
On the context menu, there should be a row of button for object Shaping. Hover over them until you find Back Minus Front. Alternatively, go to the Object menu, Shaping, then choose the same command. Or, another alternative is to open the Shaping Docker and change the drop down to the Back Minus Front.
You should end up like:
All programs have their strengths and weaknesses, and I see you use Affinity Designer as a complement to Draw. Good choice.Anyway, this effect can be created in Draw and be at least "semi live", but it takes a couple of manual steps.Duplicate the background and PowerClip it into the text.Choose to "Lock contents to PowerClip" from the floating menu.Make the text white and add the drop shadow. This will create a text that appears to be transparent. You can move the text around and you can also change it if you like.

No, the Effect limitatation in Corel Draw is not only a "weaknesses". this is much much more.
Sir, i am a Illustrator and Designer user, and now i am a Draw user, becouse i want to test it out, and i found it realy good in many ways. But Sory, in Effects is Draw very very Backdated, of course you can bring me tutorials how to do "everyting" in Draw (when i play around with the Power Clip tool and Drop Shadow... or by converting my vectors to bitmap) but this is not a solution for a program like Corel Draw in 2018-2019, we all need One Step and Time Saving solutions. ALL programs are 10,000 times better in this feuters, its not only "strengths".
Draw needs immediately more productive vector effects!
And please support my request, you will also enjoy to found this effects in Draw in just one step... (You all guys really wants that Corel Draw should stay behind??!!)
I just hope that the Corel developers are seeing this posts.
Even though vector effects seem to be important to you, I can assure you that most Draw users have other priorities. There is no competitor that can have up to 999 pages for example (not that I recommend it but it is possible), or can have page sizes up to 45 x 45 meters, meaning that you can often do architectural drawings in scale 1:1. Draw also has very sophisticated color management and text handling capabilities for example. Not saying that it wouldn't be nice with more vector effects but as far as I know there is no program that can do it all, not even close. That is why I said they all have their strengths and weaknesses.I suggest you continue to use Draw and try to see what it can do, instead of comparing it with the others to find out what it can not. But if vector effects is all you need, Draw 2018 may not be what you are looking for.I can also assure you that there are plenty of very skilled and experienced beta testers active in these forums, and they know that even a simple feature may be almost impossible to add because there is always a risk of destroying something else. So even a simple change may require a complicated and costly reconstruction.
Ronny this is where I was going with my questions for the poster, it seemed that the users understanding of complex graphics concepts were limited and successful attempts to use features such as was requested would requires such knowledge. Raster effects applied to vectors are still raster and the concept is a game changer as the scale of the project increases. An incomplete understanding of how effects are rendered in the disaplay and then for output can produce significant issues at output. Which is why at the time I tested Affinity Designer I found it not ready for prime time. Today after a search of the help and seeing the corporate response on a simple color management issue I decided to set some time aside to download the trial and give it a go to see if it's really as bad as the posting on the web site.
