thnx bro i got the link but i hoped to get an advise about the best way to separate screen printing design ,specially if i have halftone in the design cause sometimes i forgot to separate the halftone
and thnx a lot for your replaying
on this website you will find the best tutorial for screen printing and color separations.
btw the color separation should be automatic on most jobs, and the halftone is relative to the screen frequency (lines per inch) of the printer
thnx mr ariel for your concern i really appreciate that
i know about frequency and i have a question about that
i separate cmyk design on photoshop and i make the frequency 45 for silk 90 dbi and i wanna make sure that the frequency right or not and what i have to put for silk 120 dbi and what is the better program for cmyk (corelDraw or photoshop)and thnx a lot and i hope that i can help you in anything
Your in a world of hurt if you output it at 90-120 DPI
no i make the frequency 45 DPI when the silk screen be 90 DPI
it seems that a little confusion here about terminology. If you print using a standard Postscrip laser printer, when print at 90 dpi the output will be 45 LPI (lines per inch) That's the standard output, but for some jobs you will need to use more or less LPI
I have a silkscreen Shop that I started in 1986, And have been using Coreldraw the day it came out ( old split window screen).
We burn our own screens and do A LOT of 4 color process printing on tee shirts (Dark and lights)
IF you output all your seps at 45 degrees you will have Moire,Thats why you run your different screens at 105 degrees, 45, degrees, and one a 0 degrees and one at 75 degrees to remove moire.
You also as a rule of thumb NEED 4 strands of "silk" to hold ONE DOT.
You output at 120 dots that means you are using a 480-500 mesh screens?
Can your ink even pass threw?
We use 340 mesh MAX, and output 52dpi MAX, the shirt material is not flat since it is woven, the material can't even hold 120 dpi.
Alittle over kill on 120dpi.
thanks a lot Mr Nuttz i think you understood me wrong ^_^i know i have to change the degrees every color and i do that but i'm talking about dots herei output the film at 45 dots for 90 mesh screen cause here they use 90 mesh screen and sometimes they use 120 mesh screenSorry if I didn't explain this well but i'm bad with English
