By default, when you add a new guideline in CorelDRAW, they are created on Master Guides layer. Meaning, they are visible on all pages irrespective of whether you want it to be displayed for that particular page or not. In complex multipage design jobs this can create havoc and mess up your workflow.
You can instead opt for page-by-page guides wherein the guidelines will be visible only on that specific page.1. Go to…
As a follow-up to my post last week, I wanted to share an additional new feature that will be made available for Premium Members and Subscribers in December 2014 when we release the Third Update for CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7. This time, it's a new tool called "Border and Grommets". CorelDRAW has long been used for signage and in Update 3 we’ve made it easier to prepare your design for mounting or hanging. The Border…

Many have used Ghostscript and Ghostview and with X5, when Corel totally rewamped and rebuilt the Color Engine, and make it 100% ICC…

Capitalism can be as bad as Communism, it all boils down to common sense. Now the human race often don’t use common sense at all. It’s against its nature when it comes to money in their own pocket.
This movie attached is about the Waltons family: Wal-Mart, but it can easily be applied to any capitalist or Communist power-hungry leader in any country. Political or non-political. Which equals Power and control…
Hockey = Alfredsson. In Sweden and many parts of the world, the biggest Swede is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but after once visiting Ottawa, Canada in 2012, before and after that trip, Alfredsson is the bigger name. At some point it bordered God status, like at the local SecondCup coffee shop close to the hotel. After reading the Sports pages you understand a bit more how important Alfredsson was for Ottawa Senators. When I stood…

Last week, Corel rolled out a major upgrade of our communities, including the CorelDRAW and the Painter ones. I think most of you would agree on the word major (some might even argue the sites are entirely different). We are still going through a few tweaks and changes based on your initial feedback, and are trying to make the adjustments to make it as useful and friendly a community as it was in the past. Overall, the…
To create a 'floating' Mask, begin by masking a desired area > hovering the mouse cursor over the area for a second > then dragging the content to a new position ‒ all without switching the tool.Tip provided by Maurice Beumers, CorelDRAW Master, Graphic designer and illustrator.
It is time for Christmas holidays around the world. And despite being religious or frankly plainly not, this time of year is that time most of us long to be with someone and feel the love. Or feel that the world isn’t all that bad after all. We hope the evil will just stop. After all who really wants anything other than peace. And still there is always evil around us. We can cover our eyes and pretend it’s not out there…
When working with multi-page documents, CorelDRAW allows you set the individual pages sizes to be identical or different sizes. With nothing on the page selected, click on icons as shown in the figure below. If you want different page sizes, select the Current Page icon and set it/them to the desired dimensions.
