Colour Management - Moving from X3 to 2022

Hi, please could we ask for some advice.

We are based in the UK, printing wedding stationery, so colour consistency for our designs is very important to us. We have been using X3 for about thirteen years but realise that we now must move to newer software. This is something we have been putting off as we know we will have problems with colour.

We currently have a trial of 2022 and have tried some test prints; these are vastly different. We aren't experts in printing / colour management as our printing is off site. They use Xerox printers and haven't been able to offer any advice on Corel settings.

The latest test run (as per image) was on Coated Fogra 39 (ISO12647-2:2004). This is opening the old file in 2022 and saving a print pdf with our usual settings.

Please could anyone offer advice on what may be the best colour management settings to try, in order to get close to the colours produced by X3?

Thank you very much in advance.

  • Well you're going to have a learning curve. I'll be glad to help but there's the easy way or the hard way, the easy way is complicated but will get you stable repeatable work. NOTE: I didn't say matching X3 because that would assume that you were doing it correctly in X3. PM me and we can start.

    • Hi, Take up on the offer from David Millisock. He is an expert in this

      Cheers,
