Near instant shutdown issue. Fix idea(s)?

___Near instant shutdown issue___

Dell 7010-i7 4.0ghz - 'GeForce 730 w-2gb' - '16gb ram' - Win 10 (all updated):

Installed Corel-11, open any Corel program, near closes after 3-ish seconds.
Hard Boot, Compatibility change and in Safe-Mode, same issue.
Searched the Net for answers, nothing, just a few here.

No other program (so far) does this, they all work just fine.

I'm NOT paying for this program again, rather costly for a very casual user.
__BTW: Year+ ago question. Changed the monitor, same 'Fly-in issue'. It's not the monitor.

Help?

.

  • I was finally able to VERY QUICKLY make and save a drawing. Upon opening as long as I don't touch it, it stays open. As soon as I cursor touch it, it closes. I used a different mouse, same issue.

  • You're going to have to use  a virtual machine to run XP inside windows 10. I do that in Windows 7 to ensure I can run Corel Trace v12 and I don't doubt I will have to do it in Win11 in order to keep X5 available( essential to be able to open pre v6 files)

    • Looks like that's the only way.

This Corel Trial version won't open an image to test. The IMPORT IMAGE isn't available.

Looks like I'll be looking for a different program, too many issues these days to use this rather EXPENSIVE program, now that it won't work.
