Ive been using CorelDRAW Graphics with my Epson printer to print Sublimation Mugs but all colours are coming out ok except Sky Blue, it's coming out puple.
Can anyone help?
Cyan ink plugged, color built wrong?
Is there anything I can do to rectify it?
Run maintenance on the printer would be my first suggestion.
I run maintenance twice but still I have the same issue.
I have attached two images for your information. One I printed on my normal printer and one using my sublimation printer.
Please attach your test CorelDRAW file WITH YOUR COLOR PROFILES EMBEDDED.
All I can do is send you the CorelDRAW file transformed to JPEG
You can private message me and I'll send my email. You jpeg looks purple to me btw.
One thing you can try is to change where the color conversions take place. In the Print menu in Draw, Color tab, there is a drop down menu for "Color conversion".See if it makes any difference if you change from "CorelDRAW" to your Epson printer. Also check which color profile is in use on the same tab.Maybe you should check with your printer dealer for settings and profiles?FYI, I have a Mutoh flatbed UV printer and the colors came out great when I used the default settings (conversion in CorelDRAW and my document color profile), but then I changed the ink type from rigid to flexible inks, and all colors looked washed out and just very wrong. So I started playing with these settings and found that I had to let the printer handle the conversion and use a Mutoh profile instead.I also increased Saturation in the printer profile settings and got a result that was as good as it was with the rigid ink, and even better in some cases.
That's not a bad idea but you have to build the colors correctly.
I haven't used Epson for a while, but with Ricoh the shelf life of the ink is a big factor. On our Ricoh we had a problem where the yellow would print OK and look OK on paper, but wouldn't transfer properly. This led to color shifts. Eventually tech support told us to look at the date on the cartridge and it was about a year past the use-by date. After putting in a new cart and running several pages of just yellow to purge the old ink out, everything was great.
Of course a problem like this would probably affect more than just your Sky Blue but it's all I can think of that hasn't already been mentioned.
