POLL: CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 for Windows (with (2) updates): Does it CRASH extensively? (PRIOR TO UPDATE 3!)

  • I have a feeling, Corel and I'd tend to say other companies as well, programs come out with problems to try to slow down piracy. These 'pirates' download new versions of programs (defective because they're new versions). Now, more than ever, to update, we have to be connected or subscribed in some way. So these pirates, not being legal subsribers, end up working with defective programs... What do you think?

I have never seen any evidence of "deliberate bugs to fight piracy". That doesn't mean it does not exist; I just haven't seen any evidence to cause me to think that is being done.

In comparison, it's very easy for me to believe that:

    • Fixing bugs costs money.
    • Companies don't like to spend money unless they think that spending is going to earn more money.

I suspect that, in some cases, the decision is that it is more profitable to not fix some bugs.

As a user, that makes me crazy, but, there it is...
